ANKARA -- The total number of COVID-19 cases in Turkey reached to 157,814 on Monday, with 987 new daily cases, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

The death toll surged to 4,369 after 29 new fatalities in the past 24 hours, the minister tweeted. (Turkey-COVID-19)

TEHRAN -- The Iranian health ministry on Monday reported 2,023 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number in the country to 137,724 since the outbreak in late February, state TV reported.

Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, said 34 patients died over the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 7,451. (Iran-COVID-19)

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia announced on Monday the gradual ease of precautionary measures against the COVID-19, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The gradual steps, with social distancing regulations obeyed, will start from Thursday and expand until the situation is back to normal, the SPA quoted Health Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah as saying. (Saudi Arabia-COVID-19)

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli health ministry reported 17 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number in the country to 16,734.

After four consecutive days without death cases, the ministry reported two new fatalities, bringing the death toll from the COVID-19 to 281. (Israel-COVID-19)
