TEHRAN -- At least 19 people have been killed in the "terrorist" attack on a police station in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan on Friday, the provincial governor Hossein Modarres Khiabani said.

In the day, "some rioters who belong to terrorist and separatist groups, and whose identities are known, attacked a police station in the guise of Friday prayers, and threw stones and flammable materials, and shot in order to seize" the police station, the official IRNA news agency quoted Modarres Khiabani as saying. SANAA -- Houthi group demanded the Yemeni government pay for the salaries of the government employees living in Houthi-controlled areas, stressing the request is a premise for renewing the current truce.

According to a statement posted on the Houthi website on Thursday evening, Mahdi al-Mashat, chairman of Houthi's political council, put forward the request when meeting with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg, who left Sanaa on Thursday afternoon without holding a press conference. ISTANBUL -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Türkiye is successfully running its economic program amid a series of global challenges and is on the "right track."

TEHRAN -- Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri on Friday vowed to respond to any U.S. "hostile action" towards Iran's drones, Tasnim news agency reported.

Making the remarks about the U.S. claims concerning the destruction of Iranian drones, Bagheri said that "if the Americans take action against the Iranian drones, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond to this hostile action, and we reserve the right to confront and take revenge."
