ISTANBUL, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Student transport has been stopped and many roads were closed due to the heavy snowfall across Trkiye, local media reported Wednesday.
The snowfall has prompted Kahramanmaras, Adiyaman, and Malatya in southern Trkiye and the north coast of the country, such as Samsun and Sinop, to stop their student transport or close their schools, the reports said.
In the northern Kastamonu province, 335 village roads were closed, they said.
In Istanbul, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality said the heavy snowfall will continue until the weekend.
