PanARMENIAN.Net - France and Turkey's Foreign Ministers have discussed Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, emphasizing respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both nations. According to France's foreign ministry, this approach could turn the South Caucasus into a zone of peace, cooperation, and integration.

Hakan Fidan and Jean-Nol Barrot also addressed the resolution process around Ukraine, as well as the situations in Syria and the Gaza Strip, CivilNet reports.

In the context of the Ukraine war, the two ministers reaffirmed their "determination to continue cooperation on ceasefire monitoring, while underscoring the importance of ensuring a just and lasting peace based on robust security guarantees for Ukraine."

On Syria, Barrot strongly condemned the violence against minorities in the country's northwest in March. The ministers stressed the need to fully investigate these crimes and hold perpetrators accountable. The French minister also welcomed the agreement signed between the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, and Syria's interim authorities.

Finally, the ministers reiterated their joint commitment to uphold the ceasefire in Gaza, secure the release of all hostages, and establish a sustainable peace.
