ISTANBUL, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Eight fugitives wanted in Trkiye on various criminal charges, including three listed on Interpol's Red Notices, have been apprehended in Georgia and returned to Trkiye, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced on Friday.

In a statement shared via social media, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed that the arrests were the result of coordinated operations carried out by Georgian authorities in close collaboration with Turkish security agencies.

The three individuals sought under Red Notices face serious charges, including robbery, theft, escape from custody, deprivation of liberty through force, threat or deceit, and premeditated murder.

The remaining five suspects, all on Trkiye's national wanted list, are linked to a range of offenses, including forgery of official documents, blackmail, theft, breaking and entering, intentional injury, breach of trust, cyber-enabled theft, and escape from custody.

Yerlikaya reaffirmed Trkiye's commitment to pursuing fugitives abroad, stating, "Regardless of the type of notice under which they are wanted, we will continue to ensure the extradition of members of organized crime groups and narcotics traffickers to our country."
