PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government plans to make entry visas free of charge for Turkish citizens holding special and service passports, Factor.am reports.

According to the proposal, Armenia and Turkey have agreed that starting January 1, 2026, both countries will offer free e-visas to individuals holding diplomatic, official, or special passports, allowing entry without a state fee.

These visas will be valid for up to 21 days and will be issued electronically with a zero-fee rate.

The proposal was developed by Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is currently part of the government's written voting agenda.

Previously, it was suggested that symbolic steps could occur in Armenia-Turkey relations before the end of the year.

Under current regulations, Armenian diplomatic passport holders must pay a visa fee to enter Turkey, while Turkish service and special passport holders also pay a visa fee to enter Armenia.
